Wild Oregano Oil & Other Antimicrobials

Natural Antibiotics & Antimicrobials

Natural alternatives to pharmaceutical antibiotics are especially

important if you suffer dreadful side-effects from drug antibiotics or

if you’re concerned about growing antibiotic-resistance (superbugs).

If your doctor wants to put you on antibiotics for either a gut or

secondary infection. There are several natural alternatives you can

consider. These include: Garlic, Olive Leaf Extract, Grapefruit Seed

Extract and . All of these substances also have varying

levels of anti-viral, anti-yeast, anti-fungal and anti-parasitic

activity as well.

Of these, I feel Wild Oregano Oil is the most potent and powerful,

across the board, and is definitely the one I recommend you use. The

only drawback to Wild Oregano Oil is that it feels very ‘hot’ (like

chili pepper hot) for about 2-3 minutes after you take it orally,

therefore, it can be very difficult to use internally with children.

WILD OREGANO OIL

Wild Oregano Oil is relatively new in North America – it has only been

around for about ten years and there are still many naturopaths and

herbalists who are not fluent in its usage. This is changing rapidly

though, as news of it’s efficacy spreads! Because there isn’t much

information on Wild Oregano Oil, I have had to develop a treatment

protocol specifically for people with IBS and IBD (as one didn’t exist).

About 30 of my private consultation clients have been invaluable guinea

pigs with me on this, and together we have developed a very effective

protocol that eliminates yeast (Candida), fungus, parasites, and bad

bacteria (like C. difficile) – and replaces them with good bacteria.

The Wild Oregano Oil Protocol with all the usage and dosage instructions

is too lengthy to include here, so check out either of my books: LISTEN

TO YOUR IBS or LISTEN TO YOUR GUT for everything you need to know to

implement this very powerful, life-changing healing protocol. Here are

some key points about Wild Oregano Oil:

A therapeutic dose of Wild Oregano Oil (e.g. 5 drops, 5x/day) is

equivalent to Vancomycin (a potent drug antibiotic reserved to treat

‘superbugs’).

Wild Oregano Oil feels ‘spicy hot’ when you swallow it (or when it

touches any mucous membrane). However, I’ve developed a way of ingesting

it that’s so painless, even my kids can take it. You take a sip of

water, tilt your head back and shoot the Wild Oregano Oil into the back

of your throat where the water is, swallow and then immediately chug

lots more water.

If you cannot take the Wild Oregano Oil in liquid form, you can take it

in the equivalent dosage of gelcaps. However, take in liquid form if you

can, as it is most potent.

Wild Oregano Oil (Oreganum Vulgare) is also an anti-inflammatory in

addition to being an extremely potent antiviral, antibacterial,

antifungal, antiparasitic, etc.

Wild Oregano Oil is fantastic for treating mouth ulcers – you can clear

them in 1-2 days! Either gargle with it in a mouthful of water, or dab

on directly with your finger. Full-strength from the dropper bottle

(Note: this is not ESSENTIAL oil of oregano, it has already been diluted

a certain amount with olive oil by the manufacturer) works the fastest.

But you can also dilute it 7:1 (7 drops organic olive oil, 1 drop wild

oregano oil) and this works almost as well, but without any of the

“burning”.

You should also apply Wild Oregano Oil directly to any localized

infection on skin, nails, mouth etc. There are different dosage

instructions and different ways to dilute Wild Oregano Oil depending on

where you’re going to apply it. www.joyofthemountains.com has some good

usage guidelines for various ailments.

An added bonus is you probably won’t get any flus/colds whilst taking

it!

**IMPORTANT: Wild Oregano Oil is a very potent antibiotic and MUST

always be followed with high dose probiotics to replace the good

bacteria it has killed.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A BRAND OF WILD OREGANO OIL:

a) Oregano Oil is like probiotics, in that the species and strain are

very important to obtain the desired action/results. Make sure you get

the correct species (Oreganum Vulgare) and subspecies (Hirtum is a good

one).

b) It must be high in naturally-occurring Carvacrol, the species must

have naturally-occurring high levels of Carvacrol – not just extra

Carvacrol added in later. If you get a brand with the correct species

and subspecies, this will not be a problem.

c) Low in Thymol – a naturally occurring compound in Oregano Oil that

must be present as it works synergistically with Carvacrol. But, too

much is hard on the liver, so check that levels do not exceed 5%.

Currently, there are only two brands of Wild Oregano Oil that I know of

that meet all the specifications above: Joy of The Mountains and North

American Herb & Spice brands. You can also consult either of my books:

LISTEN TO YOUR IBS or LISTEN TO YOUR GUT for full dosage instructions

(how much, when and how) and usage instructions for Wild Oregano Oil

with severe or chronic gut infections.

WARNING: DO NOT use Wild Oregano Oil if you are using 3 or more

prescription drugs. It will not be safe for your liver. Wild Oregano Oil

is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, nor for children

under age 5. For children under age 12, you will need to reduce the

dosages here according to their age. Use Young’s Formula or consult your

doctor to calculate appropriate dosage. Always follow usage with

probiotics

“I was told I would need to take pills for the rest of my life and now I

take none!

The initial diet was quite strict however, I now have quite a regular,

normal diet and consume small portions of alcohol. Obviously this is a

fantastic situation from the prospect of being told I would need to take

pills for the rest of my life to where I take none. Many thanks for the

advice in your program.”
